音で悪夢を良い夢に変える治療法

 悪夢を立て続けに見ると、眠るのすら怖くなってしまう。でも大丈夫。悪夢で人間を苦しめる邪な夢魔たちは、どうやら音に弱いようだ。

 スイスの研究チームは、「睡眠中に音を鳴らすことで、悪夢障害の患者が悪夢でうなされる回数を大幅に減らすことに成功したそうだ。

 実験を続けていくうちに、悪夢は消え、楽しい夢をたくさん見られるようになった被験者も多いという。

 今回の成果は、こうした「悪夢障害」の治療をよりいっそう効果的にしてくれるだけでなく、PTSD・気分障害・不眠症といった心や眠りの障害の治療にも応用できる可能性があるそうだ。
